Kristen and Andrew were introduced to the studio through friends and former wedding clients (thank you!) and we got to know each other at their engagement session in the spring (view studio favorites here) in Rhode Island. Their wedding in October was on a beautiful (chilly!) day.
We began the day at Kristen’s parents home where all of the girls were getting their hair and makeup done, then off to St. Mary’s Church in North Attleboro for the wedding ceremony. After that we drove to Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston MA, hopped right in the golf carts and were whisked away to the iconic stone bridge for a few family and bridal party photos. It was super chilly out there on the golf course, so we headed back towards the clubhouse for bride and groom portraits during the cocktail hour. The day was topped off by dancing the night away to a fabulous 10-piece band.
Congratulations Kristen and Andrew – thank you for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day!
Thank you to Sharon Riley of Bittersweet Books for being the second photographer for the day. Always a pleasure to work with you Sharon!
Getting to know the clients I am photographing is so important. Yes, the photo below is beautiful just because of the people and the warm fall light. But more so once you know that this pond behind them is one that Kristen’s dad created next to their home and stocked with fish every year so his children could play, fish, and explore. A beautiful image on your wedding day with your parents is a wonderful thing, but to do it in the place of beloved childhood memories is truly special!
