January 18, 2016Hard to believe that after photographing weddings for 15 years, this was my very first New Year’s Eve wedding. And what a treat it was! A Boston Park Plaza Wedding with bling and sparkles and elegant gold touches on every detail. It was so much fun! I got to know MaryKate and Brian during their engagement session (here). From the beginning I knew their wedding was going to be a blast!
We started, of course, with getting ready in one of the suites upstairs. Then after a few quick family portraits hopped in the limo to the church. After a beautiful ceremony it was back to the Plaza for cocktail hour and a little time with the bride and groom on the city streets. We soaked up all that gorgeous city ambient light and twinkle from holiday lights still on the trees. The reception ended with a grand countdown to midnight! The couple really wanted to capture candids of the guests having fun and celebrating, and their gallery has a ton of them from getting ready to the first moments of 2016.
