Wellfleet, Cape Cod, is one of my absolute favorite places. I love love love the beaches and atmosphere on that part of the cape! What a treat to be a part of Kristen and Matt’s Kalmar Village wedding.
Kristen’s family spent summers in Wellfleet and we started the wedding day by getting ready with family and bridal party at their lovely home (seriously, Wellfleet is so wonderful that the next day I may have peeked online for houses for sale in that neighborhood!) and then went to the First Congregational Church in the center of Wellfleet for the wedding ceremony. The wonderfully timed raindrops came down as we were in the ceremony. After the ceremony we went to Uncle Tim’s Bridge in Wellfleet for photographs with bridal party and family. The bridge has a lot of meaning to the family and couple, so I was extra happy that the skies parted for our arrival and we were able to photograph there as planned.
Kalmar Village in Truro, MA is a really sweet cottage community where the center is transformed with a beautiful tent into a reception area. Kristen and Matt’s guests were so much fun to photograph during the reception. Some people really just know how to have a good time on the dance floor – and it showed! Congratulations Kristen and Matt!
After our photos at Uncle Tim’s Bridge, we then made our way to Truro and Kalmar Village. So quintessential Cape Cod!

And these faces! Did I mention this family knows how to have fun together? Makes my job so much more fun!
Portraits are great of course, but really, is there anything better than truly sneaking a completely camera-unaware image of the bride and groom at the end of the night? Her face says it all! So, so sweet.
