Kelsey and Mike’s Granite Links Wedding went so smoothly! They planned a day that started across the street at the Quincy Marriott, then over to Milton to Saint Agatha’s Church for the ceremony. I love it when the day works just as it should, with bridal part members having a wonderful time and the whole group there for cocktail hour!
First it was a quick visit to where the guys were getting ready. A little of everything was happening in the house – some ironing (go Greg!), snacking, and of course the game was on in the background. Next I visited Kelsey at her suite at the Marriott, where the MUA was set up in the most ideal spot. Details, dresses, and the girls getting ready until it was time for Kelsey to get into her dress.
Then it was off to Saint Agatha’s for their ceremony. Kelsey’s dad met her on the trolly and I got to hang with the adorable ring bearers.
Some churches are more restrictive than others, but within the rules I always find a way to get a great shot of the couple.
After the ceremony we took time before the cocktail hour started for group portraits on the Granite Links lawn. Then the couple and I hopped in a golf cart and it was off to the ruins! I’m not exactly sure what this structure is or was, but I know that as a photographer I love it. We had a gorgeous day and spent about 25 minutes getting some gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom.
Kelsey and Mike really wanted a sunset shot. We took one on the balcony, which I guess would do. What I really wanted was to take them back out to the green, to the top of the hill, and get that gorgeous dramatic color. Luckily they agreed and it was soo worth it. Sunsets like this just don’t happen all that often! It was amazing and I am so thankful we were able to take advantage of it. I love that the moon peeked out for us, too.
One last image of the dance floor. Another wonderful Granite Links wedding in the books! Congratulations Kelsey and Mike!
