Borderland State Park Engagement Photos

This couple got married on Cape Cod, and were looking for something different for their engagement session. What's the opposite of the Cape in the summer? A good New England snow storm, of course! We waited out winter for some gorgeous snow, camera ready. Finally got what we asked for and more. There were over three feet on the ground for this engagement session! The couple dressed nicely and stayed on paths. I came prepared in snow pants and took the less-traveled routes through the field in order to get the images we wanted. We had the place to ourselves and had an absolute blast!

Shooting through things works so well for couple images. It creates a sense of intimacy and frames the scene.

The teal winter coat was a perfect choice - something we talked about before hand. Winter images are gorgeous, but the muted monochromatic colors really need a pop of something to stand out. Both the teal and black work well here!

Borderland State Park engagement photos do require a permit, and it's prudent to schedule around normally high pedestrian hours as it does get quite busy. But this location in Easton, MA is popular for a reason! The massive grounds, gorgeous Ames Mansion, and interesting trees make it a great spot for photographs.

Location: 259 Massapoag Ave, North Easton, MA 02356.
