WHAT IS A FALL MINI SESSION?
My mini-sessions are short-and-sweet 30-minute outdoor photography sessions I run on certain days each fall. Sessions are scheduled consecutively with other clients, in locations I have chosen around RI and MA. You will have a ton of fun moving around, playing games I lead, and enjoying family time while being photographed. The goal is laughter, connection, and authentic smiles! I listen to your priorities for photographs and we capture those first, with remaining time being used for other images that will enhance your collection.
I select the best images and hand edit each one in my home studio. Within two weeks, you will receive a full download of your password-protected final gallery. This cuts out the tedious and often emotional process of selecting only certain images, and provides everything for one session fee with no surprises.
Clients use their digital files for end of the year cards, holiday gifts, to add to their photo books, and to create an annual visual archive of the kids’ growth. You can print the downloaded images at any lab, and I also offer prints a-la-carte from my Pro lab that are on thick color-corrected photo paper for utmost quality and longevity.
WHAT IS THE PRICE OF A FALL MINI SESSION?
For new clients in 2024, my 30-minute fall mini sessions including a download of the full set of edited images is $475-$575. In order to reserve your date and time, a $100 deposit is required. The remainder is paid a week before the session date. Payments can be made by Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check. Credit card is also accepted with a 3% processing fee.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN MINI-SESSIONS?
30-minute sessions are designed for immediate family. You can add in grandparents for $215, which covers an additional 15 minutes of session time, editing time, and the additional images in your gallery. If you are looking for extended family photos (like the one below), multiple immediate families can schedule consecutive 30-min sessions. Three or more immediate families together makes their own mini-session day, and there is no additional charge for large group photos or cousin photos. HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT PHOTOS I REALLY WANT?
Email is a great way to communicate with me. I do like to touch base by phone with new clients so I can get a better idea of your families personalities and plan accordingly.
DO YOU ALLOW FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS?
Yes! I love pets and welcome them in your photo session. Please check in advance to make sure the location we are meeting allows them. If you have a particularly energetic pet it’s great to bring a friend who can hold the leash while we take a few people-only images.
DO YOU SET UP THEMED MINI-SESSIONS?
No. My favorite family images are ones where the faces, relationships, and connection between people are first and foremost. Timeless is the goal! In addition, by not boxing you into a themed set-up, we can move around on-location during your session, creating images that are unique to your family. I do bring a variety of benches and stools to ensure we have what we need for posing for your group size and ages (small kids chairs too!).
You can feel free to bring whatever outfits or props you would like and I am happy to work with them within our timeframe. Big sibling shirts or signs are a popular, very sweet add-on! If you are looking for an elaborate background, let’s create one just for you with a full hour family session.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
Your deposit can be transferred to another available mini-session date in 2024. Deposits to hold your spot are non-refundable and cannot be moved to the next calendar year.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MINI AND REGULAR FAMILY SESSIONS?
Full family sessions are up to 1.5 hours long and customizable to your family, location, and style. These sessions are perfect for new clients with multiple small children, anyone who has a long shot list of every combination of their family (I LOVE this and yes, you should have all of these!), and clients who want a specific location or timing.
For full family sessions my goals are to photograph the whole family, each child individually, siblings together, and then more candid, fun images of everyone interacting. Many clients also request other specific combinations, for instance: photos of a set of twins or triplets alone, mom with kids, dad with kids, parents together, kids and dog, multiple outfits, etc. If you have someone in your family that needs a little longer to warm up, the extra time makes a huge difference in the final images. Rushing little ones through the process can cost us those authentic smiles we are going for!
Full family sessions can be scheduled at your home or other location you get to select. With over a full hour of time, we can meet before sunset and photograph all the way through it.
Full family sessions have the option of just a session fee with a-la-carte digital files and prints, or including the entire collection in downloadable jpeg format.
New clients with multiple small children often need extra time for me to really get those perfect images. Anyone who has a long shot list of every combination of their family (I LOVE this and yes, you should have all of these!) really needs a full session. Clients who want a specific location, timing, or private session at their home. If you are any one of these, let’s talk about a full private family photography session this fall!
