Wedding photojournalism at Endicott Estate

What is wedding photojournalism? It's a bit of a buzz word, loosely interpreted by wedding photographers and often causes confusion for clients during the booking process. This style of photograph has the photographer not insert themselves or their opinions in the image at all. Clients are uninterrupted, moments are natural, and anything that isn't "perfect" is left as-is or cropped out of the image. There is no setting-up, no posing, and no re-dos. Lighting is left to what is already in the space naturally (window light but also lights on in a room, for instance) without any influence or changes from the photographer.

Being a wedding photographer I am used to slipping into and out of a photojournalist mindset throughout the day. Many times clients look to me for guidance and I am happy to give it for portraits especially. Capturing movement or transitions in the wedding day is a great time to add some photojournalistic wedding images into your image collection.
