showing emotion in wedding photography

Wedding days are filled with emotion - but what's the best way to capture all of that in one single frame? That's the question that I, and countless others, study and work towards as we practice the art of wedding photography.

For me, I tend to use my ears as much as my eyes - surprised? Listening to everything happening as a couple moves through a wedding days gives so many clues as to what is really important to capture. Think about it - the most emotional moments do not happen at a "normal" talking decibel level. They are either loud - so loud the joy takes over the sound waves of the room, or very very quiet.

Listening intently is key to finding moments filled with emotion. Then I use my camera to capture them as they are.
