This groom donned his navy suit and light pink tie with his brother, the best man, before getting a portrait taken. Groom photos are easily one of the quickest things I photograph on a wedding day, but they still deserve a moment. Without the frills and accessories to pose with like the ladies often have, it is even more important to pose the groom in a way that they feel comfortable and confident. I often ask grooms to lean forward, or towards the camera. I like in this image that the groom looks confident and relaxed, and that the post accentuates all of his accessories including the tie, watch, and boutonniere. This image only takes a few minutes from start to finish but the wedding story in images would not be complete without it!
