Tented wedding reception West Chop Club

You can't beat the ambiance of a tented wedding reception! This sailcloth three-peak tent is in the large yard of the West Chop Club in Martha's Vineyard.

The most picturesque time to photograph the tent is about twenty to thirty minutes after sunset, depending on the day. I watch to see when the ambient light coming from the tent is just a little bit brighter (1-2 stops, in photography terms) than the sky. The trees will be in shadow, but not black, and there is still enough light skipping across the ground where you can see that as well.

At the West Chop Club, I was able to stand in a place where you can even see the sunset that's past it's peak in the lower left hand portion of the frame.

Capturing a great image of your tent is almost never on the "must have" list from the client, but I always make sure to get on and clients absolutely love having them! You've worked to hard to plan the day that the wide images are needed to tell the full story. Now keep scrolling - let's go inside this fabulous tent in more images!

Location: The West Chop Club of Martha's Vineyard 162 Iroquois Ave, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.
